Types Of Training Courses

A Crane Training Course is the first major step to becoming an expert in the construction industry. At RCP Training Ltd we offer a variety of courses that will propel you forward in your career and maximise your earning potential. If you are based in Surrey, courses with RCP Training Ltd will ensure that you learn valuable new skills or refine what you already know.

Crane Training Courses:

Here is a list of the Crane Training Courses that we offer:

  • A02 Crawler Crane
  • A40 Slinger/Signaller
  • A61 Appointed Person – Lifting Operations
  • A62 Crane/Lifting Operations Supervisor
  • A66D Compact Crane – 360 – Pick and Carry

A02 Crawler Crane teaches you how to operate a crane safely and effectively, recognise crane signals and position the crane correctly. In many ways, this is a foundation course that is perfect if you are new to crane training.

A40 Slinger/Signaller is a little more advanced and goes into detail about establishing the weight and dimensions of loads and using unambiguous signals. Not to mention, learn how to select the right lifting tackle while attaching and detaching it correctly.

A61 Appointed Person – Lifting Operations is suitable for supervisors who already have experience with lifting operations. The course covers basic requirements of legislation, extra details of loads being lifted from heights as well as calculating sling sizes and angles.

A62 Crane/Lifting Operations Supervisor is another course that is ideal for construction managers. Some examples of course content include controlling a lifting operation using a given lift plan and identifying potential hazards. Furthermore, confirming personnel requirements to meet the lift plan.

A66D Compact Crane – 360 – Pick and Carry goes over more details regarding theory & legislation and hands-on training. You will learn crane construction terminology, the environmental code and best practices for lifting operations.

In addition, how to manoeuvre Compact Cranes, lifting and placing loads using full radius, and how to conduct pre-use checks.

We do our best to make the courses as convenient and flexible as possible. You can complete your learning at our RCP premises or at a construction site where you work. Courses can be challenging so we want to give you the best chance of passing, by undertaking the course in a familiar environment.
